Customized 19-inch server cabinets for industry
On request, we also manufacture mobile and customized 19-inch server cabinets as an individual solution for the industry. Many of our customers require cabinets that are designed to meet special requirements and needs. We will be happy to manufacture a server cabinet that is adapted to your conditions. In times of Industry 4.0, server cabinets are also needed in manufacturing and production halls to make processes digital. Since industrial halls are usually subject to more extreme conditions in terms of temperature, dust, dirt, or other influences than ordinary office premises, we have developed suitable special solutions for an industry that are adapted to these conditions. In doing so, we have naturally incorporated all the experience we have gained in the manufacture of server cabinets for the industry.
DS CAB - the model for demanding applications in the industry
The DS CAB is a server cabinet specially designed for industrial applications, which we now produce in series. Since especially in the industry the requirements to the server cabinet can be very special and demanding, we have constructed a model with our collected experience, which we have adapted to the basic conditions of the industry. In industrial production and manufacturing halls, there is usually an extremely high density of dust and dirt particles, which is why the CS CAB has integrated additional dust protection in the form of a dust filter. To protect the cabinet from liquids, we have also incorporated special splash water protection for the model.
Since extremely high temperatures sometimes prevail in factory halls such as foundries, we have equipped the model with a total of 4 fans to ensure good air circulation. The two fans in the bottom module blow the air into the cabinet, while the other two in the rear door blow it out again. Good air circulation permanently supplies the IT equipment with cool air and thus prevents the formation of so-called "hot spots". If the air circulation does not reach the entire cabinet, the heat accumulates locally at individual points, which can cause damage to electronic devices or reduce the basic service life.
Fire-resistant 19-inch server cabinets
Many production processes in the industry require hot liquids or highly flammable materials, which is why a common requirement for our 19-inch server cabinets is a fire and heat-resistant design. For this requirement, we have designed different models that meet the relevant DIN and EN standards for fire resistance and non-flammability.
Of course, high temperatures also prevail in production halls with increased fire risk, which represent a high load and danger for the IT equipment and can quickly lead to damage and failures. Especially in industrial production, downtimes can lead to extremely high costs, which is why high-performance cooling can pay off twice. For fire-resistant 19-inch server cabinets, we have models with cooling via fans as well as cabinets with a specially integrated air conditioning unit.
Industrial halls are frequented by many people every day, often even 24 hours a day in case of permanent shift work, which is why the risk of theft is extremely high. For this reason, the models have additional increased protection against theft.
19-inch server cabinets with the highest data security
Companies or corporations often work with a large amount of sensitive data that should not be made public for data protection or strategic reasons. Such data leaks can cause considerable financial damage or loss of image for companies and should therefore be prevented at all costs. Competing companies can also gain access to important data and company secrets. In our store, you will find the DefenseShield from Enconnex, a model that was designed precisely for these cybersecurity requirements. To do so, it features appropriate radio frequency shielding technology that blocks all possible interactions with external devices and networks.
19-inch server cabinets with increased data security usually have a large number of servers, routers, and switches, which is why the heat load in the cabinet is comparatively high, and an extensive cooling system is required. A total of ten large fans are installed in the DefenseShield, as well as an additional five air filters, which are supposed to protect the IT equipment from dust deposits. These can also have another impact on the temperature when they block the ventilation systems, for example. Dust should therefore not be underestimated in connection with electronic devices.
19-inch server racks for edge computing solutions
Edge computing is the opposite of cloud computing and describes a form of data processing that takes place decentrally and in direct proximity to the actual data source. On the one hand, this has the advantage of real-time data processing and generally increased protection of the corresponding data. For this reason, network cabinets for this application must be designed to be extremely secure with regard to all potential hazards.
Among other things, the cabinets have fire-resistant housing. For additional fire protection, a fire extinguishing system can also be integrated if required. The doors are completely smoke-tight, preventing smoke from entering the cabinet in the event of a fire. Overall, the cabinet offers a 90-minute fire-resistance rating.
Basically, we have different 19-inch server cabinet models for edge computing solutions in our product range, which differ, among other things, in the potential cooling capacity.
Server cabinets for mobile applications
Server cabinets are now not only required exclusively in places with fixed locations, but stable Internet access is also needed in train and road traffic or on ships. For mobile applications, the models must of course be adapted to different conditions than stationary models. During travel, bumps in the track or undulations in the water regularly cause slight vibrations that can affect electronic devices. For this reason, cabinets for mobile applications must have a high degree of stability in order to dampen the oscillations and vibrations that occur.
Mobile 19 inch server cabinets are in many cases placed in locations with a high volume of people, which is why the models must be appropriately noise-suppressing as well as secured against possible theft. We have implemented all these components for the special solutions we have developed so that you only need the size that is suitable for you as a basis for your decision.
Electronics cabinets for industry
As an alternative to server cabinets, we also have electronics cabinets in our range, which are suitable for general storage of electronic equipment that is not directly related to IT applications. In addition to telecommunication equipment, power distribution components, of course, numerous other high-quality devices used in industry can be stored in electronics cabinets. For this purpose, they only need to comply with the 19-inch standard.
In contrast to server cabinets, only passive ventilation systems are installed in our electronics cabinets, which naturally leads to lower acquisition costs. To ensure that all devices in the cabinet can be easily wired and connected, we have specially selected a larger cable outlet than in the server cabinet models. In addition, the cabinets fully meet all requirements for theft protection.
The handy 19-inch functional housing
Our LEO-alpha is an enclosure that is ideally suited for transporting electronic equipment due to its handy design and low weight. The housing, which is made of thin sheet metal and milled elements, has an extremely high level of protection against all external influences and is also designed to be a shock- and vibration-absorbent, in order to ensure the flawless operation of even sensitive equipment during transport. These mobile server cabinets are particularly suitable for use in the transport, telecommunications, and electrical industries. However, we can recommend them for any application where sensitive electronic equipment is transported on a regular basis.
